It equips you, handhaving, close protection professionals with practical, legal, and effective verbal & physical techniques to safely control aggressive individuals or under the influence. Training structure:
Total: 20 hours over 4 weekends or split evenings to fit your agenda
- 14 hours practical (drills, scenarios, stress exposure)
- 6 hours theory — classroom-based at our office in Baarn

- Takedowns and stabilizing techniques
- Escalation vs de-escalation judgment
- Detaining & Restraint Procedures
- Legal and procedural requirements for restraining
- Safe positioning & team work
- Transitioning from takedown to controlled submission
- Ground detention for uncooperative individuals
- Communication and coordination with the team
- Weapon & Improvised Threat Handling <Optional>
- Threats with knives, sticks, or improvised weapons
- Minimizing injury while gaining control
- Optional: simulation with training tools (batons, flashlights, knives)
- Scenario-Based Practical Application
- Realistic attack simulations for single and multiple aggressors
- Stress drills with time constraints
- Teamwork, communication, and escalation management
- Post-intervention procedure, reporting, and debriefing
You will be able to,
- Recognize threats early and work on a deescalation strategy
- Choose safe, lawful intervention methods based on the level of aggression
- Detain and control aggressive individuals effectively using intervension techniques
- Apply joint manipulation for control until police hand-over
