Training structure:

Total: 20 hours over 4 weekends or split evenings to fit your agenda

  • 14 hours practical (drills, scenarios, stress exposure)
  • 6 hours theory — classroom-based at our office in Baarn

  1. Threat Assessment & Officer Awareness
  • Recognizing pre-attack behavior
  • Distance management, angles, and positioning
  • Use of cover and environmental advantages
  • Decision-making under stress

 

  1. Defensive & Control Techniques
  • Krav Maga CQC for close encounters
  • Joint locks and manipulations for safe control
  • Takedowns and stabilizing techniques
  • Escalation vs de-escalation judgment

 

  1. Detaining & Restraint Procedures
  • Legal and procedural requirements for restraining
  • Safe positioning & team work
  • Transitioning from takedown to controlled submission
  • Ground detention for uncooperative individuals
  • Communication and coordination with the team

 

  1. Weapon & Improvised Threat Handling  <Optional>
  • Threats with knives, sticks, or improvised weapons
  • Minimizing injury while gaining control
  • Optional: simulation with training tools (batons, flashlights, knives)

 

  1. Scenario-Based Practical Application
  • Realistic attack simulations for single and multiple aggressors
  • Stress drills with time constraints
  • Teamwork, communication, and escalation management
  • Post-intervention procedure, reporting, and debriefing

 

 

You will be able to,

  • Recognize threats early and work on a deescalation strategy
  • Choose safe, lawful intervention methods based on the level of aggression
  • Detain and control aggressive individuals effectively using intervension techniques
  • Apply joint manipulation for control until police hand-over
  • Communicate clearly with colleagues and assess personal safety
  • Respond under stress to weaponed or aggressive suspects while minimizing risk
